Proofs of ability and eligibility to exercise the professional activity may be requested before and during the service. Due diligence will be conducted for the selection process. The proposal has to include the following elements: A brief presentation of the organisation (motivation, services and tools, operations, etc.) ; Description of your proposition with a description of your facilitation methodology ; Reporting proposition ; References ; Quotation and overall financial proposal ; A detailed budget (PDF, Excel or Word - 2 pages maximum)
- Capacité économique et financière - conditions / moyens de preuve : Please refer systematically to the terms of reference. The applicant must be able to provide the entire service for the duration of the service and justify its expenses/budget (with timesheets for example). The budget proposal is a selection criteria, Digital Africa will be authorized to negotiate and challenge it. The proposal has to include the following elements: A brief presentation of the organisation (motivation, services and tools, operations, etc.) ; Description of your proposition with a description of your facilitation methodology ; Reporting proposition ; References ; Quotation and overall financial proposal ; A detailed budget (PDF, Excel or Word - 2 pages maximum). Allocation of the tender: The applicant can send a proposal only for one hackathon event if it's more relevant.
- Capacités techniques et professionnelles - conditions / moyens de preuve : Please refer systematically to the terms of reference. We will be attentive to the technical capabilities related to the organisation of a in-person hackathon and its management (preparation, communication, logistic, etc.), references and similar experiences, experience and knowledge of the African innovation ecosystem (with focus on the 8 countries list of the program), if possible with expertise on AgriTech sector and Startups, Experience in organising hackathons and competition event and capacity to access the participant target (African data & AI specialists). The applicant is not required to cover the entire geographical scope, but each event must take place in one of these countries. Description succincte du marché : As part of the AI4Startups program, Digital Africa will hold at least 2 in-person hackathons. These events will boost and bring together the local ecosystems and the relevant participants to support agritech startups to design their AI strategy, define AI challenges and/or imagine AI solutions to given problems. The competition will be focused on AI problems for startups in the AgriTech sector. The in-person hackathons take place at the ideation stage and are more about exploration and brainstorming. Digital Africa is looking for an implementing partner to frame and organise one or several events, from the set up and promotion of the competition to the prize delivery and closure. In concrete terms, the main actions are : Collaborating with the Digital Africa teams and agritech startups to design the subject of the competition ; Identifying and inviting the relevant participants ; Facilitating the events and supporting the participants ; Organizing the events and managing all the logistic aspects (venue, food, security, etc.) ; Managing and supporting the jury and awarding the prizes ; Communicating with the ecosystem ; Monitoring and follow-up of the activity. Project operating conditions: - Quantity: at least 2 events between August 2025 to January 2026 - Duration of each hackathon: between 1 and 3 days - Geographic scope: Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania. - Project Languages: English and French (depending on the countries) This contract may be assigned to different service providers (one batch per hackathon). This will allow for the specificities of each ecosystem within the geographic scope to be incorporated, depending on the proposals received.

Description du lot : Digital Africa is looking for an implementing partner to frame and organise one or several events, from the set up and promotion of the competition to the prize delivery and closure. Allocation of the tender: This tender may be divided into several batches to different service providers, with each batch corresponding to one hackathon event. The service provider can either respond to all the lots corresponding to all the events, or respond to a single lot or a single event. The description of each batch/lot is identical and covers all the missions described in the general presentation. This allotment should enable service providers to adapt their proposals to the ecosystems of the countries falling within the scope. The service provider is not required to cover the entire geographical scope, but each event must take place in one of these countries.
